THE CANDYFLOSS CREATIVE INITIATIVE

The Candyfloss Creative Initiative is a free-to-join community for creative individuals of all mediums.

The idea is to provide creators around Orlando, FL. with an accessible, judgement free zone to hone their craft, collaborate on projects, and showcase their hard work.

We showcase the collaborative work of The Initiative by putting on events that focus on different creative mediums.

You get the idea. Candyfloss is open to everyone willing to contribute their creative passions towards something bigger, and to find a vast and incredible community of like-minded friends while doing so.

OUR MISSION

The Candyfloss Creative Initiative seeks to break the creative barrier to entry. We look to revolutionize the creative process; focusing on passion, ambition, and love of your craft over money, creative control, and boundaries.

We are not doing this for money (although donations are appreciated), we are doing this because we recognize a hole opening up in the culture. Being successful creating what makes you happy should be accessible, but it isn’t, and that problem is making itself known today. Further, we seek to cultivate the creative minds of Orlando in a community that encourages new ideas, collaboration, passion, and fun. We are here to start a movement.

UPCOMING EVENTS

• PITCH NIGHT

  

  We are very excited to announce Pitch Night! This event allows creators of all mediums to come together and pitch new, early ideas, find collaborators, and receive feedback.

  The event is limited to 10 pitches. Each presenter will have 2 minutes to pitch their idea. After each pitch, we’ll engage in a group discussion, asking questions that promote constructive criticisms and feedback on each pitch. Then, we’ll split off into small groups to establish an action plan and find collaborators.

  • Riff/Melody
  • Sketch for a painting
  • Vision for a photograph series
  • Early ideas for creative direction for a big project
  • Any kind of early idea for any creative project of any medium

  We are extremely happy and excited to announce the first Candyfloss concert! Featuring 4 extremely talented local bands, as well as Candyfloss members on sound, photography, videography, etc., you will truly see Candyfloss, as a tangible community in action on the 23rd.

  There will also be an afterparty at a secondary location. The address for the afterparty will be made known during the show.

• SCREENPLAY WORKSHOP

  The Candyfloss SCREENPLAY WORKSHOP is open to all members, but targeted towards filmmakers, writers, and actors.

  The SCREENPLAY WORKSHOP will provide an open, judgement free space for filmmakers to share their work, receive feedback, constructive criticism and input, and begin the process of casting and pre-production.
